Team NY launched Operation International with its maiden mission to Haiti in 1997, and was one of the earliest surgical teams to respond to the earthquake disaster in Haiti in 2010. The members, which include the founders of our organization, routinely perform innovative general, pediatric, gynecological, plastic and reconstructive procedures. The friendship, developed after many years of traveling and working closely together, has enabled the team to provide groundbreaking health care to people in some of the most remote areas in the world. Team NY is capable of setting up four completely functioning operating rooms with an intensive care unit within less than four hours of their arrival on missions to countries that include Africa, Asia, and South and Central America.
